I decided to make the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic the Hedgehog. This was very repetitive since there are 7 of them.

It was a lot of doing the same thing. I like the look of them. they are obviously handmade, but it works! May turn them into Christmas ornaments for the tree!

Chaos was the prompt for day 19 of Artober. I obviously love video games so I was very happy to make the Chaos Emeralds.

Materials used:

  1. lots of paint
  2. 1×4 wood
  3. Bandsaw
  4. Paintbrushes
  5. Ruler
  6. Sharpie

Jump Into The Chaos:

Started by tracing out the gem on a piece of wood. Once you have one you can trace that out on the rest of your pieces of wood.

Next, I picked out all the colors I needed and got to painting!

paint for the gems

I took a ruler and made a line with the sharpie across the gem. I then made straight lines up and down on the gems. The marker was also used on the sides to outline the gem.

marking the gems

Just paint and mark all 7 of them and you’re good to go! quick and easy Chaos Emeralds! The waiting for the paint to dry wasn’t quick but other than doing the same thing 7 times it wasn’t all that bad!

Final Result:

Chaos Emeralds

Another video game character I did was Marionette from Five Nights at Freddy’s.
